The 16 Most Essential Firefox 3.5 Add-ons

That is the dumbest definition for essential I have ever heard.
Like I said, they might be cool and all, but calling them essential is stupid. Heck I am not even denying they could be very useful and might make my Firefox experience better, but essential is not the right adjective for them.

oh yeah and mousse gestures? I don't need those, nor do I need something to post links of facebook for me or colored tabs or music controls. Sure they might make your setup easier to deal with, but they are not essential by any means.

They are never, ever lists of things that are actually essential, just things that whoever is writing the list likes. I have no need for any sidebar. I don't want them, and most certainly do not need them. Stop calling them "essentials."

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s game engine might have been overshadowed by the Crysis engine, but it is still pretty impressive, especially with all the DirectX 10 effects like the dynamic wet surfaces and such. How could you leave that one out?

YOu left out the new enemies that are really tough. I was not prepared for the first Super Mutant Overlord, and I had to consume about 20-25 Stimpacks to stay alive because those damn Tri-Beam Laser Rifles are ridiculously powerful, even against the various types of power armor. You're actually better off shooting their gun away because it's way too damaging. Even a sneak attack swipe from a Deathclaw guantlet won't really do much to their health, maybe taking off an eigth from their bar. The Feral Ghoul Reaver and Albino Radscorpion are also really tough but at least Vengance will take them down fairly quickly.
The new perks are fairly lame, as the only interesting ones are Puppies!, Quantum Chemist, and Nuclear Anomaly.

For serious online gaming, I think headphones are far superior to a 5.1 surround setup anyways. A good headset will give you better isolation and audio clarity, even if it's only in stereo mode. The left/right separation is actually much more informative than most other aspects of sound. Front/back isn't very important because you can see what's in front of you so determining if a sound is coming from behind you becomes very easy. The hardest aspect is determining if sounds are above of below, though to be fair 5.1 speakers won't be much better at that.

Hey there's a free version of DVDFab Decrypter that can rip the entire disk as a whole to your hard drive, and works on more disks than DVD43 did. Right now DVDFab and DVD Shrink are the only ways for me to rip my DVDs using Vista 64-bit. I only fire up DVDFab Decrypter if DVD Shrink can't do the job.
