Warhammer Online’s Endless Trial Begins

WAR is doing fairly well. It isn't the biggest MMO out there and this has its pros and cons. The best thing about WAR though is that there are quite a number of guilds that are just really good coordinators and the game has a great community- in all tiers! WAR has potential and has been getting vastly better with each of these recent patches- and its not like "Oh they fixed something annoying". They are taking things and improving them in ways you didn't think you would have thought of, like UI additions and improvements when nobody was complaining before.

I dunno, just small things like that, it just shows how detail oriented the devs are and how much they try to make their game even better than it is. :)

They have made quite a large amount of changes in the past patch. The entire newbie zone has been revamped to be more streamlined. Sure the first levels are kill this, give me that, sort of quests, but the RvR is fast and fun- especially at lower levels. They also have fixed a client/server bug that was sometimes causing some lag and delay between from when you fire an attack and the attack actually being performed. The engineers also somehow goosed up FPS quite a bit. I used to typically just get around 40 fps, but after the patch I've been seeing a lot more 50s and even 60-70s in some scenario fights.

I've played a lot of MMOs, WAR isn't the very best of them but it sure is one hell of a contender I think. It certainly has some of the best "Pick up and play" PvP options when it comes to MMOs out there though. Give it a shot- not like you're going to have to pony up anything for it. :3

It may be touted as an endless trial but it really is the first 10 levels of the game and actually there is quite a lot to enjoy in Tier 1 (level 1 - ~12). I think people will be delighted when they do their first public quest or scenario.

Here's my review for the Zune HD. Now I am a zune diehard, but you should find that I am quite fair in observations.

Tl;dr: The Zune HD Is a really sexy, quick and delightful device with an excellent screen. The new Zune Software also got a number of major tweaks and is even sleeker than it was before but some things kind of could use a bit of time to beef up. Namely; more movies from more studios and more Apps. But what is great about the Zune is that it is never finished after launch. MS amazingly has stuck with their products to bring in new firmware updates and the Zune HD will learn quite a lot of new tricks as it matures.
