Apple Files Patent for OS Embedded Advertising
Posted 10/23/2009 at 08:41:23pm
Steve Jobs is a SithLord!
If this is the path Apple chooses, then my choice is to boycott ALL Apple products. They cannot force me to view ads endof! This will spell d-e-a-t-h for Apple &/or any other OS conglomerate that choses such a path. Are they suicidal or what? My personal mandate is to block and eliminate all and any advertisement that comes accross my PC by any means neccessary. It is quite enough to see advertisements every where as it is when out in public or watching television, I do not want to see them on my PC, especially at the operating system level. Steve Jobs & Co. needs to reconsider this fatal concept as it is clear it will lead to the obsoleteness of Apple.

I've been looking around to pick up a TV Tuner or a TiVO Kit for sometime, my main concern is I'm a Deaf indivual in Ontario, Canada and Closed Captioning is a MUST. Apparently with some tuners captioning is only available in the US side of things. Media Center should support it with any card, but seems most cards are built to work only in the US even though they're 'sold' in Canada. After spending cash for a TV tuner and finding out that Media Centre won't work with it unless I'm in the US is just crushing. Aren't there any that will work with Media Centre in Canada?
Homeless Doesn't Mean Offline

Ya don't suppose these homeless people leech wifi from paying home users huh? Do they get hasseled by The Man when they do? What sorts of wifi rigs do you suppose they're using, waveguide antenna's, maybe a pringles project, or even a wokfi? I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for these guys. Meanwhiles over at Unclyopedia the closest thing to Homeless geeks are nerds http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Homeless_nerds its a fairly apt description if I may say so.

WTF - FTW HOMELESS WIFI GEEKS! Shopping cart wifi antenna rigs how much range and dBi do those rigs get anyways? Here in Toronto I haven't seen any pluged in homeless folk on the street. Maybe they hide all their tech at their "residences" or in a locker at the bus station? I'm beginning to wonder if theres an underground homless warwalkin, warbiking around town with wifi on bicycles since obviously they don't drive. Some undoubtedly do live out of their cars, I've just never seen one with a wokfi or a dipole antenna. Over at Uncyclopedia they seem to have this whole hominid variety pretty much pegged amazingly enough.
