He listed them in the article already...

Both of these can block a large majority if you enable the system watcher & browser innoculation options.

Corsair Launches Triple-Pack Core i7 Compatible Memory Modules

Going from 8GB DDR2-1000 to 6GB DDR3-1600 would be a step down for me despite the speed increase. I don't get why Intel decided to go with tri-channel instead of the quad-channel that their current Xeons work with.

The sad part about it being "14" is that it's really 13. I think its a dumb decision to skip a number just because of foolish superstitions.  Lame decisions make the world go round it seems.

I think the guide should have the option between Dual & Quad. Your suggestion would work out great for the dual core choice.I have a Q6600 & utilization of each cores varies with the games & apps chosen.

Samsung Readies 16GB Memory Modules

This is great news since DDR3 RAM of lesser density will drop in price & allow DDR3 in general to go mainstream with such a technology release. When that happens, I'll probably switch over to the Core i7 after everything has panned out for the best (if it does...).

10 Things That You've Wildly Overhyped!

Posted 09/29/2008 at 07:59:15am

This is truly a troll's feast...

Most of the items on the list have brought a frenzy of people who disagree with it,
including myself.

SLI/Crossfire is extremely handy for "Beyond HD" gaming & shows the benefits of it
many times through including Max PC's very own Dream Machine EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

x64 handles extremely well with 4GB & onwards through gaming & memory intensive apps.
We may not be seeing the applications take a hold of it very well but those that do
support a large amount of RAM gobble all that is available & fly like rockets. I can't
complain when I see huge returns with 8GB.

The rest of the items I'll leave alone since I really haven't dealt with them.

Simply put, you have a very old PC. Why would you use Vista anyways? If your usage of your system doesn't go beyond what you're satisfied with, why are you complaining about an OS you won't touch? If you're going to get a new PC, do it for different reasons. As a gamer, I've used DX10 & see the graphical beauty of it. I upgrade hardware because I love gaming & trying out new hardware. That is why I've read Maximum PC for years. Older OSes are good for what they did but what I want to utilize now is way different than the feature sets that were given years ago. Today's PC utilize last-gen & current-gen OSes. 98SE will fly on any system since it's requirements to utilize its feature set isn't as demanding or oriented for today's computing.
