Been an argument for a while really. Now it's time to play harder ballgames if there is such a thing. Totally nix nVidia from the Intel line...just cut them out and let them play with ATI. They'll adapt to consumers or just fade out.
Hate nVidia's PR replies as well as about everything they fire out with. Just read that reply and think about it: "SLI is not just plugging in two boards; that’s not what SLI is. Crossfire may be that but we view SLI as the experience and the brand". Really? Nothing technical, but an emotion. That's what SLI is then...wow. Little fluffy bunnies powers SLI.
Any hope for solving nVidia's Licensing ending amicably stopped when they started firing volleys that CPU's are useless, and the other drool about how Intel sucks. That's bad PR (trolling) and they know it. So, they're not making sense. They don't like CPU's and think they're the work of the devil, but want a chipset for Nehalem? They're just too ironic.
And if anyone is seeing the future of nVidia cards, you start to grasp this isn't just about graphics and SLI, but nVidia to make chipsets that support Intel procs. It's not pretty from all we've been shown on the 280GTX. This would be a good time for many to open up to the other side, as it's a great product. It'd be more clear if we'd not see ATI's constant low percent losses in Frame Rates, look at growth potential in the architecture, and actual down sides to having nVidia cards in the first place. I guess wait for the HD4870 and these things should be easier to see...nVidia is more of the same ol' same ol'.
Hope Murph ain't sitting around reading this. You know...No f'ing lives waiting around on forums with nothing else to do. Who the hell does that?
Ass hat.
While EAX2.0 is hardware based, the zonar offers EAX5 abilities. That's gaming stuff though, and this isn't a gaming card...but does so very well.
The 118db SNR is also at 192KHz/24Bit and to all 7.1 channels. The auzentech's higher SNR is at lower bands. If you'd test them nut for nut, that would be revealed. The Zonar is just as clean at lower bit rates, and the Auzen cant' do the 192.
So why are sound cards benched by gaming prowess? I thought that was the sister magazine where our readers are a bit more elite than that. No Steely Dan or Nightfly? Heck, even Clapton's unplugged should be at least passed through. Acoustical tests, ya know? And perhaps one acoustical measurement and not just the ear, as we're all different and subjective.
Anyone else use this router and not get near the performance they did at the same distances? And I'm not talking lead popcorn ceilings and dense walls. I mean straight shot throughput.
With all firmware versions, the throughput on this one drops very linearly the further you get from it. Can't get past 109MB/s at 5ft even with bonded channels and 90MB/s seperate (Up/Down) on 2.4Ghz...and worse for 5ghz.
Do you test throughput with any security enabled, or just open? This thing drops about 65% w/ WPA-TKIP and Wep-128! WPA2 wasn't nearly as bad and just hit it at about 10% difference on or off. I could see getting the listed throughput with an open router, but you don't run open routers.
I tell ya, this thing's getting handed off very soon and putting the D-link DGL-4500 back in it's place.

Dude, it has eSata and USB 2.0 right there on the back. You need the adapter in order to use the firewire part. You won't be lugging the firewire around...
Pretty misplaced to say the editor is wrong, and to drop a derogatory statement like that without knowing the product being reviewed...or perhaps actually using it.
(Crap, sorry murph...saw ya already replied. Thought the newest was on top, and not down here at the bottom)
But mine is running 23C/73.8 on the shell according to a Raytek Raynger ST while doing a full back up to it (17minutes into it, and it's on 24/7...but it does go to sleep)
LOL...the G15 is a BEAST to take apart. Getting the "punch" out from in between the many clear plastic sheets has you digging further and further into the brickhouse built unit. And if the LED's all start blinking wildely; you're going back in for the missed drop.
Don't we all take part in this? If so, you'd have to assume it's accurate overall. If not, then who's opting in and out and making a survey like this inaccurate on all levels? If it's opt-in, it's missing mine because I'm ignorant of it.
The numbers show that there ISN'T as many of as we'd like to think. If we have 10K member in the forums, 10% might have some PC's under 1 year old AND backed with some beefy stuff. Just a rough estimate honestly.
I think the point goes to show that hundreds of thousands of others just want to play the awesome games on what they have, or what they can afford...or both.
I played HL1 on a Ti4200 when the 6800 was the beefcake. Episode two on a 7800GT when the 8's were coming out. I finally get to play TFC on hardware actually exciting. It's what we have, and one thing I hope the graphs tell people like valve. Keep older stuff able to run their games for years to come.
That's just graphics cards though. The rest is really numbers.

How To: Slipstream your XP installation

Slipstreaming is slipstreaming. What new must a person add? If you "get it", you get it. Nothing changes but what you add.
