Has Ubisoft Learned its Lesson? Prince of Persia DRM-Free on the PC

Posted 12/15/2008 at 06:13:53pm

My bet is that the game will be pirated on equal measure than a DRM one. So what would Ubisoft do? I agree that is most likely going to happen and Im sure they will just use it as a excuse to continue the use of DRM and possibly the use of a more stricter form of DRM as well.

Comcast to Offer Bandwidth Usage Monitor

I dont know what you 2 are talking about their monitor is through the person acount, not downloading a program to monitor which they are only suggesting you do now since they haven't had a monitor before. So it will be tracking all bandwidth from all devices.

From my understanding you will pay the difference between your old laptop with a new more powerful one, but im not sure exactly what price the old laptop they use, I believe they'll go by what the old laptop is worth in 3 years. Thinking about it more I wish they would apply this plan to desktops as well.

Considering how more competitive the laptop market is getting every year I do not see how they could not afford to do this.

Internet Users Don't Know How Much Bandwidth They Use, But Still Dislike the Broadband Cap

Posted 10/03/2008 at 01:01:45pm

I used to know how much bandwidth I used but then for some reason, probably to save money, they joined with msn and removed the bandwidth usage page and, if I remember correctly, was told they never had a bandwidth usage page by customer service. Typical Bell sympatico.

the subscription based system would only be a temporary measure, you will just see a rise of pirated servers. The only real reason why the pirated servers aren't affecting the current wow subscriptions much, is because of the community and lack of knowledge of their existence.
