Thanks for the news. I was just starting to look for a netbook. I am waiting until at least after October 22 before I buy.
Netbook Shipments Gnaw into Notebook Revenue
Posted 10/09/2009 at 08:44:45am
Hmmm. I can buy a new battery for $125 for my old laptop (more then 8 years old) or a new netbook for less than $300. Yes there are less features on the netbook but how often do I need a DVD drive anymore when I can share a drive on my LAN or just download/upload the info anyway. Yes my old laptop does have a 17" display. Hm. I guess it depends how I want to use the computer.

LOL.
This looks good and using this placing your backups into a Dropbox (getdropbox.com) folder would make it a great combo. Going to check this out now.

At Long Last, Firefox 3.5 Now Available for Download
Posted 06/30/2009 at 01:08:25pm
Firefox is faster, the application, not so much the load of the web pages. For example when you open a new tab it opens faster then IE 8, switch between tabs, re-ativate firefox window (from another app). I did do some tests opening up pages compared to IE 8 and sometimes firefox is faster then IE 8 and sometimes slower (this is a bias test because I can't control the internet traffic). I did this test on sites with JAVA (wunderground.com, noaa.gov, etc.) and some without JAVA (this site, tweakguides.com, etc.).
I am still exploring the other features now. But so far the one thing I don't like about FF Private feature is it closes your active window, but it does restore your previous session when you restart FF and fast too.
