Chrome Extension of the Week: FastestChrome

It's always frustrating clicking through multiple pages for just a little info. That's one reason I hate "Top 10" lists. You know they're going to be on 10 different pages with different ads. This doesn't do anything with the ads, but at least I don't have to wait for 10 pages to load 10 separate times!

If I was a visual learner and the video had subtitles I could use the video service to do a book report or catch up on the works of an author. It's not like this is a service they're going to have to put a ton of money on.
And if there were some kind of way they could make the experience interactive - like being able to switch him from wearing a sombrero to wearing a mustache with a background of a 70's porno movie - maybe then it would hold more interest. For educational purporses, of course...

Microsoft May Be Forced to Install Other Browsers in the Future
Posted 01/27/2009 at 07:47:51am
At least there is a standard, and whenever a page doesn't open in Firefox, guess which browser I fire up! I don't think the new versions of Mac's OS come with IE - Are they going to get sued? If you want to talk about a proprietary system, look at them...
At most, maybe they could a link to other browser installs on their "first run" screen of IE. But including other browsers on an OS? That's just bloatware to me.

Sadly, I am a very selfish person in the digital world. I use Wikipedia frequently though, and I donated several dollars. Not a lot though, because like I said, I'm selfish... :(
