MPAA: Making a Single Backup Copy of a DVD is Illegal
Posted 06/05/2009 at 11:22:37am
If they want to make this more logical and acceptable to the consumers..they should first think of the medium ( CD / DVD / Blue-Ray Disk )...one that doesn't get to be SCATCHed, doesnt BREAK due to regular use and has the highest rating that it would last for 25 years...
People make back-ups of the movie they just bought because we just paid a lot of money for a collection of movies in CD's / Dvd's and when they get worn-out by the dvd players..what now?....Most of the legitimate consumer just want to protect their investment..

its always all tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo over price for alienware products...
i use to like alienware as it gives you a plus point on style, but after seeing what other notebook brands has to offer over price and specs/ performance ratio....i only go for SAGER..under CLEVO chassis..
i guess alienware is trying to catch up on SAGERs better specs / pricing ratio...

The Game Boy: Why Six Days in Fallujah’s Doing It Wrong, and How We Can Make Things Right
Posted 04/21/2009 at 11:21:25am
Many have tried to get as much realism as possible in a game, trying to make it unquie or total immersion.
The review by Shack is more likely biased in a sense its still in developement..such comments should be reserve for the beta or pre final release..
Realism should not be the complete aim and expectations in a shooter game, but more likely on how to get the player totaly immersed to the game environment and situation, but still staying true that its still a game, players expect that on the next bldg or turn they can get a help pack or ammo to help the survive a bit longer before the game loads up to the next stage. I still like the idea in searching on the killed enemies for ammo, health kits and some new weapons to trade...rather that seeing them floating around..a good story and how they deliver it in the game as you play it...
Another thing they missed out on their review is that, most players of FPS hate linear games, not allowing the player to explore and exploit the battlefield..a Soldier do go on Ninja mode provided his squad gives him cover fire..i guess they never herd the word flanking ..in any given situation the main goal it to take out the enemy in the most effective way and quickly...

Alienware M17

Business executive laptops are lame...and over priced
This notebook is less than $2000 mark and does really well with the latest games..and its not a calculator..:)
and seriously..gamers do play using notebooks..most of them has a PC and a gaming notebook..so dont say that " Serious Gamer wouldn't play games using a notebook"...I have a good gaming PC rig..same price as my notebook..so
SAGER NP5797 (Clevo M570TU) Gaming Laptop
http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np5797-custom-notebook-built-clevo-m570etu-back-ordered-until-late-march-p-2540.html
The topic is about alienware M17 review comparing it to other notebooks at its range..not about a PC..
and its not always about paying high premium for a brand name and configuration that for most gamers are too much. They sited that the gateway with less price tag made a better impression in their test review.

The point of having a Notebook gaming rig is for MOBILITY..you can play anytime and anyware..you can never do that to a PC.....I have a High end Gaming PC..but i cant bring it when i travel...they never handle it with care..so whats the point of having something that fast and can't use it...
SERIOUS gamers ( HArdcore types) never go mid-range specs...HIGH ENDS specs...( SLI or Crossfire Flavor)..and a $1000 budget does not cut it...and they dont buy prebuilt system...

I have a P200 toshiba 17" gaming rig..cost me $1300 usd..pre configured for gaming..
i'm always on the road or travelling elsewhere..as a serious gamer..i believe it would not be practical bringing my pc gaming rig at the airport all the time..
For a SERIOUS gamer $1000 bucks of PC gaming is only for entry level to mid range..
My little 17" desktop replacement notebok is serious for gaming....
