GameStop Delcares War on Steam?

The battle between download vs. disc has another front to consider, and one that might be more decisive than this. I'm talking about ISP's limiting customer's usage. If I my data per month was restricted, I certainly wouldn't want to use it up by downloading a bunch of games.

Ever since MS announced that they are tapering off of XP (sales have become limited), I've been playing with Linux (I refuse to go to Vista). So far, I'm impressed, and these predictions can only push the support to improve.

This thing really doesn't look that well thought out. I'll point out a couple of things that I disagree with outside of what has already been expressed:
DDR3 on a budget? Between the mobo and the RAM itself, a couple hundred could be saved with a "downgrade" to some quality DDR2. Even DDR2 800 can run up to a 1600 CPU-fsb at standard ratios without being overclocked.
Zalman 9300? MPC's golden standard has been the 9700 for a long time, and was recently trumped by Tt's duo orb. Personally, though, I think I would have gone with liquid cooling with the money saved by doing the above "downgrade". Unlike the "dream machine's" 4870x2's there is a waterblock available for the GTX280's.
Vista? Maybe I'd take vista for a 'media center' type of PC, but for gaming, I'll stick with good ol' reliable XP.
