NCSoft Hoping Server Transfers Will Cut Back on Aion’s Looooong Queues
Posted 10/06/2009 at 09:28:37am
After the maintenance they did late last week, the queues since then have been very minimal. The last queue I was in may have been five minutes during peak times. If your playing this game solo, or any mmo solo, I think they would get boring and grindy very fast. I'm grouped up with some legion mates and we have been having a blast so far. Hit 21 last night, and we're trying to get to 25 by the weekend to hit The Abyss. So far the game is very well put together. There are some things that need to be improved upon, like the auction house and personal stores, but remember, WOW was not the great thing it is today when it was first released. Give Aion a chance.

I agree with most comments above. Best Buy is that LAST place I would go and buy pc parts from. Epic Fail.

NCSoft: Aion Will Be Second Only to World of Warcraft
Posted 08/13/2009 at 09:03:01am
I think it's going to come down to end game content. With Aion shipping in the US and EU a year after Korea and China, it will be released with the 1.5 patch which has additional content and fixes. Right now in the US beta you are limited to leveling to level 30, so until players can reach max level and spend some time there, it will be hard to state how good this game will do.
I have played in several of the closed beta's already and I can say that I have cancelled my WAR account already in preparing to play Aion full time.

Ultimate Mobile OS Showdown: iPhone vs Android vs webOs vs Blackberry vs Windows Mobile vs Symbian

Having a windows mobile phone for the past couple of years, I can only agree with this article. I'm hoping that the new HTC Hero makes it's way over here to the US as that phone has peaked my interest.

While I agree with memtest being a good place to start to test memory. I have found that you cannot rely on this 100%. I built a new pc last year, and had a bad memory chip right out of the box. Ran memtest for a couple of days and no failures. I then pulled the memory and put it back in one at a time and was able to isolate the bad chip. Most memory also has a lifetime warranty on it as well, so this could be a great place to start troubleshooting hang up issues like this.

I left WOW a while ago. WAR will be getting my monthly subscription fee for a while.
