Google Rolls Out Visual Enhancements to Maps

"Hit the read link to see all the samples."

when reading that, you led me to believe there would be more than just the sample that was on the front page. so i clicked through, and there isn't any more samples here? the link in the post does go to the samples, but that was also on the front page. so why exactly did i have to "Hit the read link to see all the samples" if all i had to do was click on the url? i mean aside from the advertisements getting more views?

what next? having the "Read More" button linked to the homepage so i keep clicking it and wondering what the f*ck is going on?

Windows 7 Review: XP vs Vista vs 7 in 80+ Benchmarks

Posted 08/12/2009 at 12:18:38pm

i believe windows 7 will be an OS where you wont have to wait for sp1 to expect reliability. it's gone through such a broad and open beta testing process that i am sure you wont have any issue with the OS itself. drivers will all be up to par, due to vista. and any program that runs in vista should run the same if not faster in 7.

my biggest issue i ran into recently was trying to network with a mac running os x tiger. i got it working eventually but it should have been easier.

excellent read, but it really needs to be proof read a couple more times. most notable was page 6. but i did notice some spelling and grammatical errors on almost every page. still an awesome read. i could read another 10 pages of this stuff :D

Microsoft Sidewinder X8 Mouse -- Unboxing and Hands-on Impressions

i disagree with on the fly sensitivity adjustment being a marketing gimmick.

granted, most of the time you will stay on one setting, for me it is the medium setting on my G5. but there are times where you can use the adjustment for more accuracy.. for example: camping with AWP in CS:S. at first it's hard to get used to, but once you get used to it you will occassionally use it.

i use my G5 and adjust it's sensitity all without using Logitech's drivers as well.

Mac Users Are Whiny Losers. Love, Maximum PC

Posted 08/26/2008 at 02:00:42pm

let me start off by saying i love os x. it is the best, most enjoyable OS to use. i have a mac mini from when they first came out. i bought it with my tax return. i still use it to this day. i also have 2 pc's and a laptop. soon i will be buying another laptop.. and for my uses, a macbook pro is what i want. but i will get the gateway 7811 fx. why? because i don't want to pay double the price for a laptop that isn't quite as good.

if apple were to pull their heads out of each others asses and make prices competitive, i think apple would sell a lot more macs.. thus, more viruses for the mac.. as there will be a larger user base. i am not one to really worry about viruses anyway, i don't run anti-virus either. if something goes wrong, i format and start over again. it may seem tedious to some.. but i actually enjoy doing it.

it would be nice if apple either support it's OS on any machine, be it pc or mac, or in the next version after snow leapard (did they use "cheetah" yet?), make it able to run executables. then it will be a war. OS X is better than vista, i don't know about windows 7.. but unless microsoft learned from their mistakes, i'm sure OS X will be better than windows 7 as well.
