CyberLink Afraid it Cannot Profit from Windows 7 Release
Posted 10/30/2009 at 11:08:57am
CyberLinks software does suck. I bought a copy that boasted free upgrades from the website just so I could have 5.1 surround support. Kept the key, the online receipt, everything, and when I tried to upgrade Customer Service just ignored all emails. I even submitted my problems to "The Dog" for review, but never made the article. In my opinion they were shady and their software was third rate garbage. The universe eventually rights itself... and this article is proof!

"All that matters is that you’re a fan at www.facebook.com/maximumpc when the drawing takes place, at 12:01AM on the 26th or that you’ve emailed us by that time. If you enter via email and the Facebook page, it’s a double entry."
There is the clarification! Best of luck to everyone!!

Canadian entrants selected in any drawing will be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by mail or by telephone.
Really? Can anyone tell me why they would have to do that? I'm curious!

Okay... me and a buddy got in an argument about this... and I won. :) Becomming a FAN of MaxPC on FB is not a qualifiying entry. You have to join their GROUP. So... go to FB and clickity click your group icon on the bottom left. Up top you can find a bar that says: Search Groups. Plug in MaximumPC and you'll find the GROUP.
Or just email them as per the terms and conditions.
The group has about 500, prob 600 now. Who knows how many emails they have received so far. I'd say 1:1500 by the end of the week. We shall see. Good luck!

You don't edit the text when you quote someone else.
On a side note... it sunk in alright. Kudos to Rocksteady.

End of Runway for Flight Simulator
Posted 01/26/2009 at 09:31:54am
Anyone who buys this simulator as a game is looking in the wrong places for fun. However, aircraft and flying afficionados are right at home with FSX, and its predecessors. It has a very large following in the VATSIM style community, and even new pilots in training. Its accuracy and realism are unsurpassed in the flight simulator market. These products have always been at the top of their game, taxing even the highest end of computer builds. It's a shame to see this line be shut down, if it is a permanant decision.

With the USAF banning use of portable media devices on government computers, its no wonder why some of these devices pose a security threat.
