I don't know about "getting out now". I did and I'm still running an XP3200+ :( The wife took everything and I'm not done paying her...still! If you can upgrade every two years, keep her!

November Another Bad Month for Yahoo, Good Month for Bing

I'm surprised Bing doesn't have a larger share.  MS changed the default search setting on all of my computer's IE8 without asking.  It came with some "update".  I had already put Google as the default and then suddenly it was Bing.  So I changed it back and sent them a nasty letter, but think of all the people out there that either don't care, don't notice, or don't know how to change it.  Theirs will just stay Bing and M$ will continue to reap the benefits.

They used to make a card with a fan that SOUNDED like a vacuum...now they have a card as BIG as a vacuum!  Can you imagine putting two of those things in?  How will you find a place to plug anything else in?

I don't want a poluted planet either, but the whole global warming is BS.  I remember in the 70's Time magazine claimed we were headed for the next Ice Age.  Now its Global Warming.  Just because some nut said it enough times everyone says it like its fact.  BS...OK...I'm done.  Thanks for the article though! :)

I've been using it since with XP and W7.  It doesn't download and install the driver/program, but give you a direct download link to the driver/program.  I like the ability to pick and choose what I install, so this is preferable to me.   It just shows what you currently have vs. what is the newest available.

Firefox Wins Impromptu Memory Contest, What Does it Mean?

Posted 06/28/2008 at 12:09:34pm

I've been using FF3 since its first beta.  It has gotten steadily better.  The full version 3 is very solid IMO.  I really quit using v2 because of the memory problems.  I am one of those with 20 tabs open and it would never give back the memory when you would close one.  Now it does.  While not all of my add-ons work with the new version yet, enough of them do to make it a joy to use again.  If you haven't tried it in a while, you should.  The add ons are much better than opera.  IE7pro makes IE7 workable, but I prefer the extra custimization in FF.
