Stardock: Only 23% of Demigod Players Even Tried to Play Online
Posted 11/20/2009 at 10:37:13am
Only clueless devs and gamers say singleplayer is dead. WRONG! I game singleplayer the huge majority of my gaming time. No disrespect intended to Stardock. Love any devs that support PC gaming.
Finally, a Netbook with Brawn (and Dual-Core Processor)
Posted 11/20/2009 at 10:31:08am
So is this going to be priced so high that you may as well get a notebook? I can get this for $400 and change at Best Buy of all places.

Unless you absolutely "need" small then I don't see netbooks being worth the cost of admission when notebooks are just a little more. So what is the draw of getting a netbook other than size, am I missing something?
8 Things You Need to Know about Chrome OS
Posted 11/19/2009 at 02:18:28pm
Maybe I don't understand the whole concept behind Chrome but.........
I don't trust saving personal info no matter how unimportant to someone elses server/computer or "cloud" in this case. They are a corporation and all corporations have an end goal and usually the end goal is to milk people for money.
NO thanks google/chrome, I'll keep saving my files to my own computer/servers.
ATI Mangles the Competition: 8 Hot New Video Cards Reviewed
Posted 11/17/2009 at 10:03:27am
Over the past years I've owned the ATI9700pro then a few Nvidias (6800, model I forget, 8800 etc) up till I bought the ATI 4850 and now my current 4870.
I've never experienced "noticable" bad drivers on any of the cards, ATI or Nvidia. So I've always used the best bang for the buck theory which has saved me a lot of money and allowed me to upgrade more often instead of sticking to one manufacturer camp.
Borderlands DLC Coming to Consoles November 24, PC “Later”
Posted 11/10/2009 at 06:31:00am
Especially this soon after a games release. Gives the impression it's content they held back from the commercial realease.
Give me a good ol expansion pack. IT helps keep people on the same page vs these random crap DLC releases that usually aren't worth the cost of admission.

If you love PC gaming don't support IW by buying the console version. You send the wrong message.

Leave now, this is MAXIMUMPC not gamespot. I will not support these devs who turn historically PC genres into nuetered console crap.

Hard Case: Games for Windows Live versus PC Gaming
Posted 11/03/2009 at 01:23:31pm
so we all move to their beloved Xbox so they can nickel and dime us for online play and DLC.
If PC gaming ever did die I'd stop using MS OSes and use a free alternative like UBUNTO. I'd game on any console but an Xbox. I refuse to support their evil entry into the console world.
