Study Finds CD Sales Still Strong in the Face of Digital Downloads

I just buy CDs used. All I need is the CD itself to encode my music in FLAC and then store it in a binder. Granted I'm not necessarily "stimulating the economy" but at least I can say I own what I ripped to my computer.
VideoLAN Releases VLC 1.0.0, Now Plays Everything

VLC is garbage as a primary media player. Only thing I use it for is to view files I'm currently downloading. Hell, WMP isn't even that bad when paired with CCCP.

The 32 Totally Essential (and Free) Apps for Every New PC

Used foobar2000 before, but I didn't like it. The layout of the media library is nice, but the functionality isn't good. I should be able to double click on an album and the program plays that album, not click it to add to a playlist. Importing m4a's is a mess. Metadata doesn't load properly. And at least with winamp I can dock the player at the top and it autohides.

Don't know why anyone would recommend Spybot anymore. Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware does a substantially better job.

Antec Three Hundred
Posted 07/09/2008 at 03:55:43pm
Verdict should be 7 not 5. Considering I bought this case on Newegg for $70 with FREE SHIPPING, this was a good deal. Most reasons for the low score is just being picky. Having no lights/windows is a GOOD THING. Those things make a case look too cheesy. I don't mind buying a case fan for the HDD since I can choose what I WANT rather than Antec making that choice for me. USB and Audio is enough. eSata would have been nice, but I just use the adaptor for the PCI slot that came with my motherboard. No big deal.
