I have uninstalled both files needed to set-up XP Mode searched the hard drives for any other copy and I cannot find any. Can anyone help me out with this problem?

My guess as I have yet to see anything written about it, is that like the Vista upgrade disk I have you will need to install win7 w/o the key then reinstall using the key; in order to do a clean install. I have done this several time when i have formatted my drive for whatever reason or the one time I had a drive die..

The only differance from Pro to Ult is tha additiion of being able to use one or more of 35 different languages - how many need that? and the addition of BitLocker which I have on my Ult Vista64 bit and have never once used. So the Pro is a valid compair in my view.

So I wounder if it will be like Vista was if you want a 64 bit version you have to order the DVD from Microsoft and of course pay for it - unless you shell out the Cost of the Ult. Version, which I can see no use for unless you speak several languages or must have the bitlocker. As I run 64 bit Vista now and both new laptops we have on order also are running the 64bit version of Vista - So as I have pre-ordered Win7 I guess after I get it I will have to contact Microsoft to order a 64bit version of the DVD. Can anyone shed some light on this?

$2000 Gaming PC Buyer's Guide -- Updated Prices and Parts for April 2009

Well I spent somewhaere around $200 - $300 for my case about 4 years ago and it is an all aluminum and hold 6 interanel drive and has room for 4 externat dvd, etc and a place for 2 3.5" devices and has 7 case fans. I have upgrade twice now and this case is stillworking just fine - it did come with a 650W p/s as well. At this time I am thinking of spending $599.00 for a new case that is a newer full tower case like mine but comes with water cooling.. In my view a good case is never a waste and for $69.00 that is a junk case in my view. My current case and the one I'm looking at are made by Thermail Take. Good cases in my view. And if that $69.00 case has a p/s installed it was at most a 350W one and I'd bet a low-end one that I would not want to trust with my stuff.

Exclusive Interview: Microsoft Admits What Went Wrong with Vista, and How They Fixed It

Posted 09/11/2008 at 07:28:49pm

I still see people bitching about VISTA I have used VISTA starting with RC2 and the only problems I ever had even with the early version was drivers for my sound card and no support for an older scanner. Drivers for my sound card came out soon after the retail version was out - I have Vista installed on 4 computers 2 Dell laptops, 1 Gateway desktop and my own home built rig. I use the ult. 64 bit version on mine all others use the 32 bit  Home Preium version, I have only ever had one blue-screen and that was just a few days ago on my laptop. Other than that I have had no major problems and only a few minor ones.Overall I find VISTA to be better than XP - but it could use a few tweaks in speed area - internet and file Xfer.  Just my 2cents worth.

Just in case any of you are still looking creative does have beta drivers for the X-Fi sounds cards, which is good as that's what I use. As far as dumping Vista for Ubuntu or any other version, well from what I have read and seen if you are using your system for 'office' use over all it should work well, but if you play games and use the system for basically everything else or as a non-office system - Myself I'll stick with Vista until I can play my games and run my other apps using it. While it is in many ways a better O/S it still has a long way to go for everyday use - IMHO
