Posted 05/21/2009 at 08:57:18pm

the question on my mind is.  is it one cooler per dimm, or will one fit over all 4-6 memory slots? cause i'll be damned if i'm putting up $400 to cool 2 ram modules.

and maybe this is how they break them o/c records......they never did mention if they use any cooling method on thier modules.....hmmmm

The Dream Machine Revealed--Part Three of Three!

Posted 07/20/2008 at 12:07:19pm

dear fanboys and naysayers.........WHAAAAAH!!!!  piss, moan, and cry like little bitches all you want about MPC's choice of hardware.! it's not gonna matter, you don't like it then go out drop a boatload of money and build your own version of what you would think is the ultimate dream machine, then go down, up or over to MPC's offices set it up next to theres and run the benchmarks and get everyones opinion of who's performs and looks better.  If you lose, then the staff gets bragging rights and gets to give you a mega-wedgie and kick your ass out thier building.  If MPC loses then i'm sure the guys will give you your props and hey, you might even get a job (highly unlikely.) otherwise get a life, stop whining and get off of ATI/Nvidia's jock.  BASICALLY GROW UP!!!!  oh and as far as the HP Blackbird case, if you were really a loyal reader of the magazine, you would know that our good man Will Smith pointed out that the editorial and review's department is COMPLETELY SEPARATE from the advertising department, which means that HP being an avid advertiser (like they are in many other PC magazines) would have nothing to do with thier decision to use  the Blackbird case.  MPC rules, and if you stop reading cause of a choice of hardware or thier opinion on it then your a retard and shouldn't be anywhere near a PC or an electrical outlet.  As for my homies at MPC.....keep up the good work......Dream Machine 08 looks awesome......AND THAT'S COMING FROM AN NVIDIA FAN!!!!

Daily News Brief: Iron Man's Suit Debunked

Posted 04/25/2008 at 06:09:57pm

OH NO!!!! Ironmans suit defies the laws of physics...who cares!!!! It's based on a comic book! DUH!!! comic books are a work of comedic and dramatic fantasy. What a surprise, here I thought all this time all the characters were real and that I could someday visit the Marvel Universe and hang out with the X-Men and The Avengers. Jesus. As far as the Wii goes, the only reason this thing sells out so fast is because of these inconsiderate s**t sniffers that go out and buy up 3 or 4 at a time and hock them off on e-bay for $100 more than thier worth. There is a way to stop this from happening. It's called in store registration. You show ID, your information is recorded, and uploaded to a central computer. Then when the same a-hole hocks his off on e-bay for more than it's worth he can't go buy another and do the same thing over again. And yeah I know this would be costly, and they could just go get a buddy to buy another one so they can hock it off, but it would keep people from making profit off of Nintendo's intelectual property, and that way when little Johnny and Susie wake up Christmas morning they don't have to hear the upsetting story that thier parents couldn't afford to pay $400 to buy it off e-bay cause someone else is a greedy prick. can you tell i'm bitter....I too had to buy my Wii off of e-bay for $100 more than retail, just to have it stolen from my house 3 months later.

Daily News Brief: Has DirectX 10.1 Gaming Arrived?

my man you obviously missed my point...I realize that AMD does R&D for years, you can't just say "hey let's do 12 cores" and have it out in 6 months. the point was...if they have been in the R&D phase for a year or 2 with these dodeca-cores then they had to have taken the same steps with thier quad-core procs, and we all can see how that is panning out for them (that would be intel laughing while ripping a beefer in their face). Don't get me wrong...AMD is perfectly capable of achieving this feat, I was an avid AMD guy for years, my first build was an AMD box, but they have lost something in the past year or so. As far as providing MS with Xbox 360 parts...they've been developed, all they have to do is manufacture them, the most they can do with them currently is maybe make them run more efficiently. which means they can dedicate plenty to newer technology, which is obviously what they are doing with the 6 - 12 core cpu's they wish to produce. But like I stated before, the current available technology is quad-core, and they are lagging behind on that, they need to perfect thier quad-cores so that they are a more attractive alternative to Intel. If thier current quads are the best they can do in this market then thier not gonna generate a lot of revenue from them, and hence forth will have less money to sink into R&D for 12 cores. Besides, what makes AMD think people will buy a 12 core cpu from them when they can't even do quad-core on par with Intel. Case and point....dedicate a little more time to bettering your current technology to give your customer base a little more faith in your products before trying to win them over with a new one, it's a better business practice, IMHO.

where in God's name does AMD get off even attempting to produce a 12 core CPU when their current Quad core processors can't even measure up to Intel's current Quad cores. it's nice that AMD are forward thinking and all, but come on....better your current technology to be on par with your competitor before you decide to move on to something else, that's a much better business practice IMHO.
