No BS Podcast #60: The Vernal Equinox Edition

Yeah, I could just not listen, but then they would not receive any feedback about the podcast. I think it is dishonest for a customer to stop using a business without leaving a comment behind for them to reference and consider. Think about it - you could just not read my comment instead of replying to it. Same thing.

Windows Search, Take 4 Preview

In linux, you click on a terminal and type find [path] -name [name] and you can find anything you want about 1000x faster than anything available for Windows. Is it really that hard to find a document called finance by typing find / finance* ? Do we really need a huge windows update for that? There's also a GUI search tool that comes free with Ubuntu Linux that does the same and allows you search on other elements as well - all bazillions of times faster without ever listening to the hard-drive buzz in the background while things slow down due to indexing. I assume this is yet another thing that XP will do faster than Vista.

These podcasts are terrible. Please stop them. There is no point in doing something if you are going to do it badly. You guys have great strength when it comes to reviewing and testing PC equipment and software. You are excellent writers. But not a one of you has a radio voice nor any auditory personality. It's like listening to (and in fact probably is exactly) three nerds with a tape recorder. Put a bullet in that horse. Stick to your strengths and don't venture outside of that box. EVER. Love the magazine. Please include more Linux/Ubuntu related articles and less Windows.
