What about Comodo? I've heard good things about it elsewhere, and it is free AV/Firewall. Any opinions?

Was the decision to go dual and not quad core just based on price? I thought that MaxPC was recommending pretty much everywhere that since quad cores are the future, to go that way. Any thoughts?

Great article. I periodically have searched for recommendations on this topic to no avail. Thanks for providing a resource. But, the layout of your article makes it almost unreadable. Do we really need to scan 7 pages for a bottom line? Put a summary somewhere (preferably on page 1)!
New Solutions for Windows XP SP3 Upgrade Woes

I am glad that my SP3 update worked-- on two computers. One is AMD system and both have tweaked boot logos. But, no problems. I haven't really noticed any difference, except on my MCE system it turned on Messenger within the Media Center interface. Strange? -John
