How-To: Boost Your Web Browsing Performance Like an IT Pro Using DNS
Posted 04/18/2009 at 11:03:07am
I have been using openDNS for close to a year now and have no problems with it. I started using it after my ISP had a very bad case of fox.com. On any compter or any device that tried to access the internet was redirected to fox.com on about 80% of all pages visited. So i switched to openDNS and have had no issues since. I tried a month or so ago the DNS servers of my ISP again and while alot better I still get the occasional reroute to fox.
PETA Invading World of Warcraft to Prevent Clubbing of Baby Seals

No they just euthanize the animals in the back of a van and then throw the bodies into dumpsters. I am all for saving animals and the stopping of abuse of animals but i absolutly can not stand PETA.

That was so wrong to take a picture of Slash and deface it by putting Zuckerbergs face on it. Slash deserves more respect then that.
EA Toning Down Spore DRM, Trying for "Acceptable" This Time Around

I do not want a game that has to be activated. If they want a activation when i go to online play thats fine but if i intend to just play the game local I dont want the activation process. I still pick up and play games 10 years old. I am sure they said they would release a patch if they ever took the authentication servers offline but I dont know if they can be trusted in 10 years they will most likely feel there isnt enough of a base left to warrant the release and besides they already have your money.
I am sure some might compare this to just like the Windows activation but i beg to differ. The OS's i use rarely outlast any games I play. I have one system still around runnign 98 just so I can play some of those older games.

Nvidia Exiting Chipset Business? Nope, Not True!
Posted 08/02/2008 at 12:37:42pm
And in other news from another reliable source. It appears Foxconn, Gigabyte, and DFI have pulled their Nvidia 790i boards as well. This is the end for Nvidia, the world is collapsing around them while AMD sits on a raft out on the water waiting for the destruction of Nvidia to be complete. /end sarcasm

Edit: Did Gigabyte ever even release a 7x0i board?
Edit #2: Here is a interesting read http://www.custompc.co.uk/news/604554/foxconn-drops-nforce-790i-saying-chipset-is-unreliable.html
OCZ Unveils First Fatal1ty Brand DDR2 and DDR3 Memory After Partnership Announcement
Posted 07/23/2008 at 12:27:04am
Let me be first to say this but this Fatal1ty naming scheme has gotten very annoying and old. I wish it would come to an end. The branding of a item as Fatal1ty does absolutly no good with me when it comes to me buying parts.

E3 2008:Rock Band 2 Tracklist Announced
Posted 07/15/2008 at 09:23:56pm
Rockband would be number 1 on my list to not have ported to a PC. I could not imagine trying to play the drums on a 24" monitor. Guitar isnt bad on a small screen neither is the singing but to have room to work with on the drums forget it. And forget about having a rockband party in your own house on the PC good luck fitting 4 people around a 24" display.
PhysX - Coming To A GPU Near You!

That was the impression i got as well when it was first talked about. That everything from the 8800 series on up was going to work. But now anything i read is 9800 and up. Oh well not many games use it now anyways and i bet it still wont catch on mainstream by the time i upgrade my system next year.
