Microsoft to Kill Off Short-Lived Recite Project
Posted 10/01/2009 at 10:38:31am
Microsoft does have a lot of bright people with creative ideas, but this is one example of starting with a good idea, but never following through to completition. Other good ideas not yet followed through: SkyDrive, Live Mesh, Voice Command, MyPhone.....
Microsoft's Free Security Software Launches Today
Posted 09/29/2009 at 10:27:09am
I have been on the beta since day one on multiple computers, and even back then it was a polished product. It is small, quick, efficient, and quiet. So far I have not come accross any viruses for it to catch, but definition updates are released on a daily basis. It has all the basic features and settings, though no advanced features, but that is not it's market. It also will not work on servers, and every once in a while it may pop a flag that it has not done a system scan in a while, but normally it is so quiet you don't even notice it. Overall it is a great antivirus solution for consumers and I am glad Microsoft is taking security seriously.

Card stacking is a propaganda technique that seeks to manipulate audience perception of an issue by emphasizing one side and repressing another, for example by creating media events that emphasize a certain view, by using one-sided testimonial, or by making sure critics are not heard. Often used in persuasive speeches.

Zune HD Prices Purportedly Leaked
Posted 08/12/2009 at 05:26:59pm
As cool as this new device is, if it has less storage space than my 80gb Zune (which is 80% full), I don't want it. Make a Zune HD HDD with at least 160gb. Only so much 720p "HD" content can fit on 32gb.

It seems Firefox has borrowed some from IE8's book. Lets just hope that 4 is much more stable than 3.5 is.

Adobe Adds Premium Services to Acrobat.com - for a Price

Zzzzzzzz. Not at the article, but at Adobe. Microsoft Office Live Workspace http://workspace.officelive.com is a much better solution. I used it plan and organize my last major event and it worked like a charm, and didn't cost me a dime. That combined with Microsoft SharedView made for wonderful event planning collaboration. (I have no affiliation with Microsoft)
China Demands All New PCs Include Censorship Software

Lets hope all computers being imported from China don't have this. This is just wrong. Any manufacturer that supports this is supporting communism.
