There are Core i7 prices (Including the Intel X58) in the most recent Tiger Direct catalogue I received late last week.
Intel DX58SO: 299.99
Core i7-920: 329.99
Core i7-940: 649.99
Core i7-965: 1,149.99
Can you say EXPENSIVE?

If this technology was proven to work without any serious drawbacks (accumulation of said "garbage") it would get me to buy an ASRock Motherboard.
For now though, I'll stick with my new i7 based system (parts arriving Monday!)
Circuit City Closing 155 Stores, Not Just What I Needed

2 of the nearby stores in Jacksonville are being closed. Luckily, right next to the Circuit City is a Best Buy and a CompUSA!
Brick-and-Mortar stores like these have some electronics you can't find online or are just way more expensive online. Keeping them open is really a win for consumers.

I also went with the bigger 226BW. Alsolutly perfect and earns the Kick Ass rating.
