Apple Offers $30 Apology for iPhone 3G S Activation Woes
Posted 06/23/2009 at 12:04:01pm
My question is, how can Apple and AT&T charge almost $50 for taxes on a $199 phone... they say here in California that they are required to charge taxes for the full cose of the 16GB 3Gs iPHone which is $499; but if I'm only paying for something that costs $199, how can they charge me $50 in taxes? Does anyone have an answer to this?
The Top Freeware Apps Chosen by Maximum PC Readers!

Maximum PC, I love you guys, but seriously, which ever reader(s) suggested these programs are smoking crack! I don't like any of them. All are pretty lame and useless.
Sometime back you did a article on 32 applications to have or something like that... those apps were far better than these here. So please respond to your reader(s) that suggested these and tell them to lay off the Payotee!

Will Search Engines Become The Next Pirate Bay?
Posted 04/19/2009 at 02:30:40pm
I got to be honest, I don't know a lot about "bittorrents" and the laws governing countries that host websites like "TPB" and others but, what about a website or torrent site that is hosted in countries where copyright laws are weak to nonexistant, such as (and not stereotyping) most middle eastern countries; ie, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt... etc...? I can tell you through my experience when I "worked' there I could get any movie I wanted on DVD. These movies were sold on the open market in plain sight of authority there.
So if this is allowed, how can the hosting of these sites be stopped in these countries? But like a user mentioned below, when one site goes down, dozens more will pop up to replace it.
Kazaa and Napster were shutdown, but look what that brought on; sites like "TPB" and "Isohunt"; and when those are shutdown, what's next??? I have my suspicions. Technology is ever growing....
Thanks,
Sarge!
