Newegg says the screen sports 16.7 million colors though doesn't list the screen as 8-bit. So essentially if a product like an LCD doesn't specify 8-bit just like a video card that doesn't specify 256-bit memory interface or better then it's a budget item regardless if it's price is low enough to be considered budget.
