I'm not sure what your trying to say here. I built a computer for about $500 a year or two ago and it's running Vista pretty speedily and plays most games decently too.  Plus Windows has the most open source software and freeware than any other OS.

I agree too that Vista Ultimate isn't needed, but you can get Vista Home Premium OEM for $99 and Windows 7 Upgrade for $119 (upgradable from XP or Vista which most people have) or non-upgrade for $199.

Flac is more compatible than AIFF. Flac also supports tags, Wav doesn't and I'm not sure about AIFF. And why not save space when you can? Flac is lossless so why not use it? When you have hundreds of CD's like I do, fully uncompressed CD's can take a lot of space. It just makes it easier to to just have the tags in Flac and just to convert directly to MP3 (for my portable player). Once they bigger sized MP3 players are more common (like 120gb or bigger) then I can just use Flac without the need for MP3.

Playstation 3 Helps Sony Win Blu-ray War and Lose $3 Billion

Blu-ray is good for backup? Well, not really. I did a quick search on Newegg.com and found that the cheapest Blu-Ray drive is about $200 and the media is about $10 each for a 25 gb disc (or $35 for 50gb media). Or I found this 2tb external hard drive for $209.99. Now lets see, 25gb's or 2,000gb of rewritable space? And what if you get a coster? And not to mention barely anyone has Blu-ray in their pc.

"On the 360 if they used more than 2 discs people will get upset with having to swap the discs all the time. As it is people wont like it being 2 discs."

You won't have to swap games all the time. Once your done with disc one, you just go to disc 2. It's as simple as that.

I don't hear people complaining about changing discs whenever you want to switch to a different game.

I think people are blowing this way out of proportion. I don’t think it’s that hard to get up and change discs once you get to a certain point in a game. Look at some of the games on the PSone like Final Fantasy where the game was 3 or 4 discs long.
