Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme-775 RT
Posted 08/17/2009 at 01:48:43pm
There are several versions of this product sold out there. The main difference for most of them is the mounting hardware. Make sure you purchase the version that is appropriate for your motherboard.
The right one for the 1366 processor would be this one:

I forgot to mention that in combination with a thermal paste upgrade (went from arctic silver 2 to arctic cooling mx 2) the Ultra 120 dropped temperatures by 40 degrees celcius. Really can't beat that without switching to water cooling.

I installed one of these and while the install was a chore because I had to remove the mobo to put in the bottom plate, it wasn't too bad. However, once I had the mobo back in and was trying to reconnect all of the cables I kept scraping my knuckles against it. I didn't think much of it, it didn't really hurt at first, but once I was done and I looked at it, the whole side was red. I then realized I had slowly scrapped off a layer of skin a little at a time. I cleaned it off some, but not wanting to go through the removal process again just to clean it, I didn't remove everything. This machine was definitely built with my blood and sweat! (No tears though)

I had snapfish do this to me as well. They deleted my account because I hadn't logged in for 6 months. All my pictures were gone and they had no way of recovering them. I stopped using them after that.
Valve Explains Why Left 4 Dead 2 Isn’t Just a Map Pack

While I couldn't have put it quite so elgantly as PCMania, he has a valid point. If you're so unhappy with the first game, why would you buy the second game? The allmighty dollar speaks loudest.

I don't get all the complaining. This is a company that has given way more than they ever should have away for free to its loyal customers. They are still adding things to their older games. They have a kick ass game in L4D and they have recently provided DLC for it. Now you're complaining that the next version of the game, which sounds like it has a lot of great improvements and will probably also kick ass, isn't going to be free? Or is it just that it's too soon? Would you rather they wait a few years to release it so that you can feel like you got your money's worth out of the first game? I really don't understand the complaining. The old adage is true, give people an inch...
D-Link DGL-4500 Xtreme N Gaming Router

So when are we going to get an updated best of the best router? Itcannot still be the WRT600N. It has received many bad user reviews, and its successors have gotten worse reviews. And the WRT600N is hard to find now with some people selling them for nearly $500.
The Best of the Best Just Got Better

I still have issues with this list. Not that it's bad, but I think this list could be much better. Starting with links to the reviews. I'd like to see why these things are the best of the best. I'd also like to know what their compared to and how long they've been on the list. For example, the Linksys router, as you mentioned is the older model, but is the newer one improved enough to make it on the list? (Which incidentally, I've seen several bad reviews of the newer model.) I would also like to see it updated more frequently. I've already had an i7 machine for almost two months now. I put it together myself and had to research all the parts and was disapointed that the reviews for these new parts weren't already available here. I actually called several of the manufactuers directly for answers to some of my build questions. I would like a magazine that is designed for power users to have information on the latest technology lined up and ready to publish well in advance of, (or at least right as) the product release. Don't get me wrong, I love the podcast, magazine, and the web site. I just feel that this is where you guys used to be stronger than you are now.
I would also love an i7 mobo, CPU cooler, RAM, etc, deathmatch. Was the MSI board the best, or the best you tested? How does it compare to the ASUS Rampage II Extreme?
Ok, done ranting. It's Gordon's job anyway.

Can you guys do a comparison of NAS devices please? Maybe pit this against the netgear readynas.
