idk why, but my q9450 spilts any workload between all 4 cores, even if the app is not multithreaded.

 

also, SP3 enables XP to use 4GB, idk exactly how much more than that though.

because they're going to be using Vista because XP is going to be dead in a year.  and because i think service pack 3 enabled the system to see and use more than 3 gigs.  maybe they're going to use a 64bit OS.  you never know
