For what it's worth. I just ran the demo at things set reasonably at 1280 x 760 (it wouldn't let me choose anything else.) I have an Athlon X2 3600+ OC'd to 2900 mhz (benches around FX 62 / C2D 6600 in Sandra) with 2 Gig DDR2 800 ram with an OC'd 8600GT. I was posting about 13 fps. I tried the game and it kicked me out saying that the performance wasn't good enough and to change some settings. I lowered everything and was only able to muster 29 fps.

With this rig, I'm getting around 70 fps constant in BF 2142 with everything maxed. It was a bit of a let down with Lost Planet. Hopefully there will be some code optimization in the game/ or drivers / or both.
