X-Fire is showing a big downtrend with the game http://www.xfire.com/games/who/Warhammer_Online_Age_of_Reckoning/

Many people are realising there is no long term appeal to the game. Shame really.

In actual fact the game is taking an upturn in populations reported all over the official forums and in plenty of other places. Yes there are quite a few servers that are pretty deserted, however, there are loads that are also very full and even more so after the recent PvP patch 2.0 that came in a couple weeks back. A quick search on the official forums under server specifics will show this.

The game has got a change at the helm, many bugs have been fixed and there is hardly much of a severe performance issue any more.

Since when does stock have anything to do with the game you pay to play? Do you even play it? You know companies can be very stable and profitable without being listed as publicly traded. How long has FunCom  being listed? how many game companies out there are not listed and have profitable games, cough, Turbine (lotro), Mythic Pre EA, CCP (EvE) etc etc. How long has Anarchy Online (Funcom's other mmorpg)  being going without the company being listed? If FC go de-listed its is definately not the end and definately not worth gloating over.

If you play the game and your on a less populated server I am sure you would benefit from when the time comes to cross-over. As fellow gamers it can only make things better for them, its a damn if you do, damn if you don't situation. The new guy in charge is making the right decision, which is widely applauded in the responses from the link to his newsletter.

As for the guy who thinks the game installed 5 times what it should of, maybe try the config for the patcher located in the game directory...

Well you also have Shaw 10mb connection with 100GB allowance at $29 per month up here in Canada too, I think 250GB is more than enough.

It is not up to the Cable Companies but the Manufacturers, like Motorola and Pace for example. They disable current ports, they also pass firmware upgrades on to whether activate, deactivated hardware on the machines. Cable companies just provision certain makes and model DCT's to work on their network, they wont make and software to activate things. Take the company PACE for example, their new DCT the TAHOE can add on extra external HD's but you can only copy media between the two and not your PC. Obviously due to copyright laws. Thats software put there by the maker with that limitation.

Add up the beneifts of networking one DCT to a household having more than one and thats lost revenue in DCT sales.

If you can stream stuff to your PC thats a potential sale of a DCT lost there.

Leave WoW alone, look to the future. This is kind of a dull time for mmorpg's, but on the horizon we have Age of Conan and Warhammer a few months after. Reading up on these games are more enthralling than a trip back to Azeroth. WoW has had its day, time spent on there is worthless now, BC was disapointing. Slippery slope ahoy! The WoW mass migration has begun just look and read around. The public want new innovative aspects in there games not rehashed crap.
