Dell Catalog Shows Mini 10 Evolution Shipping this Month

I'll still take my Asus 1000HE over the Dell -- better proc., bigger HD, easily upgradable to 2GB RAM. Oh yeah, and a score of 9 in the June MPC.

I guess I'll be upgrading (replacing) my Asus 1000HE netbook soon.
March 2009's Patch Tuesday's a Light, But Important One for Windows Users

It appears this patch Tuesday killed my Exchange server. Got in this morning to a ntoskrnl.exe missing or corrupt error. Yeah, happy day. At least that's my only server M$ took out this morning.

On the recommendation of MPC, I've started using Dropbox. Though I never used the Yahoo service, Dropbox's free 2GB storage option sounds like a good alternative.
Much-Anticipated Dell Mini 10 Netbooks Finally Available for Order

I was sick of waiting for the US debut of the mini 10. Given the pricing and the need to "upgrade" to the 1.6, I'm happy I just ordered an Asus 1000HE. I got a N280 1.66GHz proc, 802.11n, bluetooth, webcam, and an upgrade to 2GB of RAM, all for less than the $399 base on the Dell. Am I missing something?

Agreed. But they still show web standards compliance, which was my point. I was a diehard Opera user for years. Regardless, I'll stick with FF 3.1b for now.

I've avoided deploying Vista on my network. I had one user forced to use Vista back when MS forced it on a Dell laptop. When this user experienced problems prompting a complete rebuild, we happily moved him back to XP Pro. I'm using Win 7 beta, and enjoying it. I'll just wait it's release and begin upgrading then.
How To: Install Windows 7 Beta from a USB Key!

Why suggest a trial version of WinRAR when 7-zip (www.7-zip.org) is a free, opensource archive manager? Not to mention a native 64-bit Windows build of 7-zip is also available, which is not the case for WinRAR. I have a legally purchased copy of WinRAR I have abandoned for 7-zip.

My install of Firefox 3.1 Beta 2 scores 91/100 on the Acid3 test. It sure looks like the Mozilla folks are shooting for a perfect score to better compete with the new Opera.
