Ok honestly I thought that you guys were better than this. I don't like the idea of censorship from without but I think that it is very important that each individual learns to censor themselves. You seem to be incapable of doing this. This was an easy call and you totally blew it. You could have decided to error on the side of right but you chose to make the world a little less civil and do what you wanted to do. You have behaved just like a toddler that says 'I wanna do what I wanna do'. You were very immature and unprofessional. I had to turn off the podcast because it became overtly offensive and I didn't want people to think that I was into that kind of thing. I have recommended your podcast to many but now I will have to go to each individual that I recommended it to and apologize. In truth, you can do what you want to do but you won't be doing what you want to do on my time or with my money. Unless there is some kind of apology I will not be listening to any more podcasts or buying anymore magazines. BTW This comment forum or email is not the way that you should decide right from wrong. If a fight is brewing how often do you hear the bystanders start chanting 'don't fight, don't fight' but you often hear 'fight, fight, fight.' Often times the person that is the loudest is overcompensating because they know that their opinion is incorrect. This is one paying customer that has been left with a very sour taste in his mouth. I was given no warning about the nature of the podcast and for the first half or so I was impressed with your choice to not swear. Teamspeak: I am 42 years old and I am often on teamspeak. I have never asked the 14 yr olds not to cuss but I treat them with respect and I have found that out of mutual respect they most often stop cussing around me. It is never discussed. Come to think of it that happens with ppl my own age also. I am sure that you can find better ways to express yourself and honestly the rants have been fairly lame and about stuff that most ppl don't really care about. I think the 14 year olds like the rant because they are hoping that Gordon will help them to justify their 'I wanna do what I wanna do' attitude. Ok so ... Now I have had my rant. I hope you will change your mind. Please, if you do change your mind let us know in a public way so I won't have to take a chance with another podcast download that I will regret. I agree offensive things happen but I don't want to be the offender and I don't want to be the person that is encouraging others to be offensive. That kind of logic is not logic at all. With that kind of logic it would be ok for a person to do, whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. We build prisons for those ppl. Just because one person does something wrong doesn't mean that we should encourage others to do the same. That is insane logic. Of course, this kind of logic is exactly why our elementary school yards are filled with that kind of language, and guns and drugs, etc.

I appreciate the bleeps. The bleeps allow me to be able to enjoy the podcast without having to do mental gymnastics around all of the cussing. Do you really have to cuss to make your point? I would like to think that you could have an informative enjoyable discussion without all the cussing. I would also like to think that people that read and create this magazine are perhaps a cut above the average citizen in the intelligence department. If you are unable to express yourself respectfully without the cussing then you are limiting the scope of your audience. I can't imagine that there are many ppl out there who will say to themselves, 'I'm not going to listen to MaxPC because they just don't cuss enough'. On the other hand... There are those who will not listen to the podcast because of the cussing. You guys know how to make the show entertaining with meaningful commentary and playful banter without using cussing as a crutch so I think you should emphasize those strengths. You have a great magazine and a great podcast I hope you don't distract from what you do best. eh besides you're not that great at cussing. Sounds like little kids trying to impress the kid down the street with 'naughty words' or something. yeah yeah and of course we all respond with 'ooooo, ummmm, did you hear what he said?' And puuuuleeeease this is not a 'freedom of speech' issue. Of course you are permited to speak freely. But just because you are allowed to do something or have the freedom to do it doesn't mean that it is the best thing to do. I am sure that men did not fight and die to give us freedom just so we could.... cuss? It all seems just plain immature to me. ... Anyway I have enjoyed the podcasts and I thought it was classy when you used the windows error sound as the bleep.
