1. Dark and Light - It was just after they made the last big change to Star Wars Galaxies and killed the game play and my Creature Handler Profession. I was bitter and looking for a new game. And I didn't want to drink from the WoW fountain (oh how silly I was at the time). This was a flegling company with big asperations....I even talked a few guild members into coming with me. It was just awful. Terrible! Graphics were so very bad and gameplay was non exsistent. I should have known not to trust the French!
2. And I know I will be flamed for this...Daggerfall. It was just an awful awwwwwwful game. Say what you will, the depth and replayability and all that....but that was just an terrible boring ugly game. At least it was still at the time that the EB took back software. I won't play Oblivion just because the same company made Daggerfall (or at least some of the same creators anyway).
For D3 has been a long one. I want what the game has been famous for. I want it the same but with improvements. Bigger world, more quests, High Rez graphics, and a good story. People aren't playing the Fallout games like they do Diablo. After 8 yrs Diablo II is still on store shealves and selling. Fallout can't say that. Fallout 3 (I didn't really like the Fallout series, I don't like after the apoc. storylines) might get me to play the series again because they changed...they needed to change I feel.
But DON'T change my Diablo. I don't even think it could be a good MMO....at least not until WoW was just about over and World of Starcraft (you know that they are probably comming at some point)was riding high. By then I could get back into a Fantasy setting.
And I will probably never play Spore. I say "NO!" to Will Wright and his pee pee creatures!!! Just like I said "Real Men Don't Play the SIMS!!" to the Sims :)
Logan Decker reviewed a Brain Device in the latest issue of PCGamer and gave it a 72% I think. The only thing he couldn't do was look side to side. He could move and shoot with it . Put that together with a motion camera and well, no need for a mouse. Touchscreen tech to open your inventory or switch guns.
It all maybe closer then you think. We now live in a world with Wii motes :) I'll miss my Trackball...(duxs head)
The only problem I found with it was the Multiplayer functionality and how it lacks user control. I am not used to being restricted like this when playing PC MP. No bots, can't start a server without players joining first. It seemed like an interesting MP game but I have only been able to play it a few times because of this.
I am still playing through the SP and it is fun just to go and blast things sometimes. And the boss battles are good.
