Has Windows 7 Already Lost to Mac OS X?
Posted 11/02/2009 at 01:50:01pm
Not to start a flame war or anything yes you make good points os x has problems so does windows do i feel it needs to be more open yes i would love to make a new pc and put os x on it. But for me it boils down to one simple fact if i had a mac beside a pc with the same specs and good mice i would use os x 9 outta 10 times. I find that it is a far better experience on a day to day usage baisis. But sadly it cant play a majority of new games and untill the day that a mac gets day and date releases of good games any gamer will still have windows on a mac as well as os x.

Posted 03/22/2009 at 02:59:04am
wow this is such a big surprise NOT
there are always going to be those people but we have to hope they dont ruin things for every one else.
If used properly a laptop can be a wonderful leaning tool and very helpful in a day to day basis just like cell phones but every one cannot be trusted to do the correct thing so lets just hope colleges dont crack down to high school levels

AT&T Charges Woman 5 Large in Overage Charges; Gets Sued
Posted 03/04/2009 at 01:34:38pm
i can say this from experience working for att at least half of the people who work there don't know about the cap or don't care and for over a year the policy with that cap at 5gb was that is was a soft limit witch meant that their was not a charge if you went over it if you were on the lover plan though there were overage charges
well if they keep this stupid policy when lte come around then so much for dropping cable providers for wireless providers
Should the U.S. Spend $44 Billion on Broadband Infrastructure?
Posted 12/23/2008 at 11:58:28am
To the network upgrade i say hell ya i live in an area where the only internet other than dial up is 756kdown 256up for $75 a month.
But teaching these people is going to cost way too much and alot of them do not want to learn. Or they have too low of a opion of them selves and think they cannot do it so they dont try.
But we should not be giving people computers if they do not spend their own money on it they wont respect it. also who do they think they will call when it breaks. A better option would be for the government to subsidize the price of computers. But unfortunately it done wrong we could end up like france did with everyone having a computer but no real evolution in the french market for years. May be a tax rebate could come back if you claim buying a computer would giuve many people an incentive to buy a computer. And the added affect would be that it drives the free market to keep driving new and better technologoly. Also it will bump people from a aprox 4-6 upgrade cycle to a better 2-4 year cycle
IP Addresses to Run Out By 2010: Vint "Internet's Daddy" Cerf
Posted 09/28/2008 at 05:51:35pm
the biggest issue is that next year verizon and att will start using LTE for their 4g technology and it it is directly ip based so allphones will have better data speeds so its seding voice over data instead of sending data over voice but this also means all phones will need an ip address thats why ipv4 is screwed no matter what
