Even with my fairly strong connection (see below) this slowed my browsing down to a halt. I had to open IE just to get back to MPC's website to revert to default.

I won't argue that the music is bad but to call it one of the worst albums one has ever heard is pretty ridiculous.

I don't think they ment the OS optimized it, they just probably turned a few things off.

 I'm excited for windows 7 personally, boot times really don't affect me much but less processes, less memory uses, paralell drivers seem interesting, and they are working closer with vendors = money imo.

It is a rather long install, despite being only 65ish mb large. Stage 2 took the longest for me (I did not have the hang at 100% like the other user posted), and overall the install was very smooth. So far I notice a little overall speed increase, could just be placebo. Went smooth though.

That's a stupid, baseless, "Hi I'm an AMD fanboi" statement. Even though the "Quad" Core that Intel has out now is not true Quad core it still dominates AMD completely. And it's definitely not a slow processor by any means. We have no real, true, hard benchmarks from 3rd parties to really know if the Barcelona core will "pull ahead again." Intel absolutely did not repeat the major problems as you claim, this only makes you look ignorant and again like a huge fanboi.
