I have a counter strike source server that if you have someone that ones to set it up (ftp, rcon, etc) they can run it for whatever. It is just sitting there doing nothing.

How are they blocking it? Or are they just not supporting it if there is problems? Vista and xp work fine in vmware. I think they are just feeling heat from vmware since their virtual pc blows ass.
Many games on steam you can play on wine no problem. The performance isn't 1:1 but it is like 90% or better on many. For a gamer too, you can use vmware to try linux inside of windows, then if you like dual boot so you can still boot to windows for games.

Mine shows 49C idle and 54C load, that seems off for a 5000+ x2 black edition at 3.0GHz with 0.01v increase to 1.36v

Use Yum for fedora and setup weekly updates that way. Much better
