Finally, someone to stand up to the giant, and take some action. Linux is one of the most efficient OS's, and is incredibly easy to learn. I think this is a good idea, but I also think they should use Ubuntu or another one out there.

Well, if Linux will run slow, than XP will be like a fat man with an asthma problem. I don't think Linux will run slow, considering it's incredible stability and light weight.

ohh, joseph4.0, you have it wrong. Chipsets get a lot hotter the the CPU, and i mean a lot. The 780i average temp is about +-95 C, depending if your overclocking or not. The ceiling temperature for the 780i is 135C

no XP support, no DisplayPort support, Ill have to buy a new motherboard and graphics chip, and its only for amd for the first part of 2008. what a waste of time.

that is a little sad concidering that Creative knows that thousands of people all over have modded and created an adapter to fit on that connector. i have a working one, taking the glorious sound of the X-Fi to my front panel poerts, so i can listen to the ear candy without having to reach around to the back of the box, and to wander through a jungle cables, in order to listen to the sweet sound of BF2 in its full glory. I will take notice of this.

DRM is not just on music and videos, but on games too. i wonted to make an image file of Sid Meier's Railroads on my computer so i dont scratch up my disc. When i mount the image file, it says that i HAVE to use the original cd. what a waste of money when you are protecting something you bought and it won't let you.
