Why Does Hollywood Give Nerds a Bad Rap?

You have to see "Sneakers" it is a lot of fun and computer geeks and nerds abound.

Another good film is "The Net" this is more of a thriller and really can happen to you! Once again a nerdett ( girl nerd ) gets into trouble without really trying.

Gaming Roundup 9/3/08: Sex, Drugs, and Heroism

I am playing FEAR Perseus Mandate at the moment and ran across a cute add by Alienware selling their Pcs. In the game you go up to their computer which shows active when you get close and hit the use key to get in game story from a person that supposedly left a message. Also I found a XPS Dell! This type of add is smart and fun at the same time. If they use their heads like this in using adds I would almost look forward to seeing them and maybe even post them in the Game Arena....like hey did you see what game company X did in the latest game for adds that added to the fun in playing the game! I don't feel like going out to buy an Alienware or Dell Pc at the moment but with some one else ya never know!

If the adds are blatent I would ignore the new games and be happy plying my old games over...Baldurs Gate anyone?

My view of cheating in a game is that you are really cheating yourself out of something you are too lazy to accomplish yourself and this says a lot about YOU!

You can't cheat in the real world and get away with it for long, so why cheat yourself out of the 50 bucks you paid for the game. I don't know about you but I have to work for my money and would like to think it was well spent on a game I wanted to play. If you have to cheat to win I feel sorry for you.

Consumers Still Shy on Blu-Ray; Missing Out on Glorious High Definition Cinema

Do you see a corollary in the title?

Sony tried to make a monoply out of Bata Max tapes as being the only avenue of watching movies, this is when VCR tapes were born to counter the monoply that Sony was trying to form in the past. Yes, the Beta tapes had higher quality, but cost an arm and a leg as did the machine to play them. The general public settled for VCR tapes and equipment because it was a lot less expensive. I for one won't ever pay 30 bucks for a movie, that is just nuts! I will stick with DVDs, the quality is better than the old VCR tapes I have and is good enough for me.

Microsoft to Unveil DirectX 11 at XNA Gamefest

I think Microsoft just shot themselves in the foot again by not making DX 11 available to XP users. This only pissed me off more and I will try to get away without using Windows 7 when it comes out to protest against this type of crap. I do my best to vote with my dollars, I know I am just a piss hole in the snow but if enough people do this they will change their tune.
