Building a Rig? Don't Forget the Playstation 3 Cell Processor Add-In Card!

I could see it being an add-in card for a laptop that doesn't have the processing power for hd video where upgrading a cpu would be difficult.

EA Responds to Spore DRM Critics

Quick question: has drm protection ever stopped a game from being pirated-or does it just make torrenters wait a week until it's circumvented or maybe a month if it's an aggressive drm (bioshock)? I partially agree that steam has the right idea with drm, but even then there are ways around steam. I believe that the company has the right to drm as long as it dosen't affect a consumer's legally obtained experince of the game; which has been affecting a few games in the last year...

Is the DRM being used like the sony rootkit ones of the past? Suing sony over it seemed to solve that drm problem imho-maybe the same will happen here?

Naw, BFG is making 'em right now that only take up one slot w/ the block installed ( http://tinyurl.com/5zmnp5 ). Hasn't there often been problems, overclocking wise in this case, with running tri-sli due to drivers?

Couldn't they fit an x-fi in there if they used a single slot water block on atleast one of the gpu's? Imho air cooling for a gpu isn't maximum enough compared to using a water block-so i would assume they would use one.

Daily News Brief: Blu-ray Blazes On

Hmm, I'm kind of excited that the HD format war seems to be coming to an end, but then again I'm worried that with no competition in the HD disc sector that sony will again start putting rootkits or some silly advanced protection system that'll make playback difficult or even dangerous to your computer.

Wow this is getting ridiculous, does the consumer have any rights anymore over the media they legally bought? Windows Genuine Advantage, online activations, encrypted movies that causes problems in itself, I'm beginning to miss the day of analog audio tapes and vhs movies... We need a GOOD court case to stand up for our rights!

I think that the Murph should represent the first "real" defensive case to the RIAA, he seems to know a lot on the subject or at least a lot more than a regular lawyer would. Just study a few law and order cases and you good to go, right? Great job with investigating this!
