Agreed. It puts you and everyone around you at risk. It is pure idiocy.

Well if you were to get in an accident, they can check your phone timestamps. Or if you were to get a ticket for breaking the law (running a stop sign, red light etc.) they could increase the penalty if they have evidence you were using a phone while you broke the law. Similar to the no seatbelt... speeding and get pulled over,...then get a ticket for not wearing your seat belt as well. My guess.

Have you seen old people try to text? They are guaranteed to kill someone before a teenager would while texting.
Texting while driving = fail.

I cannot stand the mindless people that drive and text. It's so annoying. I fully support it myself.
You're in a car to drive, not text your little buddies. Focus on the road and the people around you. Nothing is so important that you need to text while driving, and if it is important enough to communicate with a person, tehn pull your butt over and CALL them. Texting while driving is unecessary no matter what the reason.
People need to put their damn phones away and actually drive their car. If I ever get hit by a person who is using a cell phone, I will sue them so bad their great grand children will feel it.

Well you can take the file and create an ISO out of it and install it that way. That is what I did and it worked like a charm.
If there are any serious issuse with the installation itself, I have yet to find them. So I think it was jsut an error with the distribution server. Either way, I am running my Win7 jsut fine now. :) (it only took me 5 hours to get it going! )

It appears that Win7 copies downloaded via Digital River, do not work. After a little web searching, a lot of people are having problems running the Win7 they paid for.
Fantastic. Leave it to MS to allow something they have worked for a few years on, to be screwed up.

So needless to say.. I'm not all that happy right now.
Is Windows 7 Going to Boost Mac Sales?

I hate the proprietary ways of Apple and that is why I will never purchase a product by them. Unless they change their ways of course... and lose that snotty, arrogant, blind, uneducated pride.
Besides, the beta of Win7 had me sold. Besides, as a college student, I only had to pay $30 for my copy of Win7. :)
