Exclusive: Thermaltake's Jaw-Dropping Level 10 Chassis Unboxed!
Posted 09/28/2009 at 08:01:44am
The pages of MaximumPC have featured dozens of great looking cases over the years, as well as dozens of awful looking ones. Just as with most things, aesthethics are completely subjective.
To me, this is an amazing looking case that I would be proud to show off to friends and family. I've really never seen anything like it and that alone makes it enviable.
I can understand why many would balk at the design since it is so original. I can understand why many more would balk at the price - this case is VERY expensive. But for those out there that want something truly unique, this case provides it - in spades.
Bravo Thermaltake and BMW Design. Amazing case.
I'll be watching for a review on building a system in the Level 10 and be intrigued to see performance numbers.
ATI HD Radeon 5870: The Fastest Videocard Ever (PS It's $380)
Posted 09/23/2009 at 07:24:31am
With the give and take that comes in the graphics wars, it won't be long before nVidia is touting their 5870-killer. However, this power/performance thing is really intriguing - upgrading to a powerful card that does not require a 1kw power supply would be fantastic.
I wonder if these cards will run in Dell and HP boxes? Looks like dual 6-pin PCIe power connectors...
iBuyPower Supercharges Front Panel USB Ports with USB Internal Expansion Controller

Whether using bluetooth or not, connecting the wireless peripheral antennae internally is a great idea. I think there's definitely a concern with some devices and power from mainboards now so maybe this solves it.
Some vendor out there will mimic this - can't wait to see the price!
Analyst: WoW Accounted for Half of Activision Blizzard’s Earnings
Posted 01/29/2009 at 07:23:12am
While I cannot say that everything is perfect with the game, that patches that are released only improve things (ugh to 3.0.8), and I never experience jaw-clenching lag during sessions, for the most part I enjoy the hell out of the game. The latest expansion has reinvigorated the game and as a gamer that plays WoW with his wife, there's nothing so fun as experiencing the story lines and new content together.
I'm not planning on going anywhere and consider my subscription money well spent.
