Ads like this could keep me from buying a game. I like the subtle ads though, like billboards and posters and such, because they make the game more believable for me. But having a video ad pop up like that would tear the immersiveness right out of a game.

This is purely a work of art, even if the nikel plating did cost 5 G's.

It is the Dream Machine though, so I guess that's a moot point.

I have a ton of respect for what VIA is doing, but I think it's ultimately a futile move. Intel has such momentum in the market and in resources, they could probably have a faster Atom processor in a matter of months. I personnally think that Intel learned it's lesson from the Athlon series, and I doubt they will let VIA make much of a dent.

I really can't seem to get into the MMO world, it all seems so pointless to spend that much time on something that only benefits your virtual character. MMO's can become so serious that it really isn't fun anymore staying up till the wee hours of the morning to reach that next level, and the reason I play games is for the enjoyment and sort of care-free experience. I think it's sad to see so many new games that are just more MMO's or RPG's, I'd really like to see some innovation in areas that really need it (Yes, I'm talking to you Mr. First-Person Shooter). I feel like the gaming industry is stagnating (especially on the PC), and it needs a boost from an innovative company.

Am I right? Or should I be taken behind the shed and shot for herecy?

Well i guess you're right guys... Maybe if we're nice to suspected terrorists they won't attack us, right? WRONG. Why in the hell should you be worried about terrorist surveillance?! Are you doing something related to Al Queda? Listen up people: If you're not doing anything related to terrorism... you won't be spied on! End of story!!! This news item is just another showing of how people have completely forgotten the 1500 people that were killed on September 11th.

I detest you lowering a game verdict score because of in-game ads! I really enjoy having them there because they make the game experience seem more realistic to the gamer, like something in the game could happen in real life.
