Toshiba's Maiden Ultrabook Now Available Online

The “world’s lightest 13-inch laptop” is here in the form of the Toshiba Portege Z830 Ultrabook, which is available now from  in four models starting at $879. However, only one of them is configurable and all others can only be bought as is. Hit the jump for more.

At 2.4 pounds, Toshiba’s maiden Ultrabook weighs considerably less than the 13-inch Air, which tips the scales at 2.96 pounds. The factory-configured options range between $879 and $1,429 and offer "a choice of 2nd generation Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors and sports a 13-inch display.

Features common to the three models are: a 1366x768 display, 128GB SSD, 1.3 MP webcam, Toshiba Portable USB DVD SuperMulti Drive (optional), Wi-Fi, one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output port, and a 47Wh, 8-Cell Li-Ion battery.  As for RAM, the most expensive model features 6GB DDR3 memory, whereas the other two only feature 4GB. Also, it’s worth noting that the cheapest model does not have any Bluetooth.

The lone configurable model in the Z830 series has a base price of $1,099 and features the following specs:
