Per Belkin (owner of the Linksys brand):

I replaced the firmware with DD-WRT a long time ago. Not to mention it just improves the overall performance as well.

And now I'm happy I went the Asus Black Knight RT-66U instead of Cisco/Linksys. Thanks for the heads-up MPC!

I was going to post this. So far my Netgear seems to be safe, although at this rate I won't count on it lasting much longer. I went through it again making sure I disabled anything that might give remote access. If I need my files on the go, I either load them to a jump drive or take my portable HHD along.

indeed. my asus rt-n56u is affected with no new firmware for a few months now. I had already disabled any ftp/samba sharing already as I have a dedicated file/media server. it is just simple understanding of routers yet a huge majority lack it or don't bother disabling stuff.

Just FYI Cisco sold linksys to belkin.
