TechRadar Roundup: CES 2013 Day 1

Paul Lilly

Today is officially the first day of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, and the number of product announcements and keynotes has been staggering. There's a lot to cover, and throughout the week, we'll be posting roundups of some of the highlights covered by our sister site, TechRadar , which focuses more on the consumer electronics side of the equation (think tablets and TVs rather than graphics cards and liquid cooling). The folks at TechRadar are every bit as passionate about electronics and technology as we are, so show them some love, and tell 'em Maximum PC sent you.

We actually started linking to TechRadar yesterday , on what we dubbed as Day 0 of CES. Today brings a whole new round of announcements, from Wi-Fi hitting the road to a plethora of cameras.

Our friends at TechRadar spent a lot of time looking at digital cameras from Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Panasonic, and several others.

Sadly, there haven't been any dancing toasters to report just yet, but our sister site did uncover a funky looking Blu-ray player from Sony and futuristic talking digital signage from Casio.

TechRadar also covered a ton of TV sets, such as 56-inch 4K Ultra HD OLED models from Sony and Panasonic, and even delivered a hands-on evaluation of Sony's KDL-55W900A .

We'll update this post when/if necessary, and be sure to check back tomorrow for a fresh roundup!
