Hide your NUC because if you bring home an Obsidian Series 750D chassis, it may just eat your mini PC for breakfast. Corsair's newest full-tower enclosure isn't quite as big as its massive 900D, but the company says you'll still find ample room for high performance components and sophisticated cooling. The 750D is also supposed to make complex builds a bit easier thanks to tool-free side panels and drive bays, cable routing grommets and mount points, rear CPU access on the motherboard, and alignment pegs, to name a few of its features.

Microsoft on Monday introduced the world to the second generation of its Surface tablet family. According to Microsoft, the Surface 2 and the Surface Pro 2 both pack “significant” improvements in everything from processing power to battery life.
Sharkoon has stepped into the gaming-keyboard ring with its new budget plank called the Skiller, which is loaded with hotkeys and a macro-recording software suite. Those of you not familiar with Sharkoon should know that the company started out making cold-cathode PC lighting a decade ago, and has since expanded its offering with keyboards, mice, and other PC peripherals.

All things considered, Google's Nexus 4 turned out to be a winning product for the Mountainview company. There were hiccups along the along way, many of them associated with LG's inability to manufacture Nexus 4 devices at a fast enough clip to satisfy demand, and during the time, both companies were pointing the finger at one another. Nevertheless, it worked out in the end, and it appears LG will be the one building the Nexus 5.
Valve co-founder Gabe Newell turned a few heads earlier in the week at the LinuxCon 2013 conference by saying the next step for his company is to release some work it's been doing on the hardware side of things. Many speculated he could be referring to an official Steambox, though even if that's the case, it won't be the only thing Steam is cooking up for next year. Valve will make three announcements next week.
Here's a heads up for any of you who may have pre-ordered or otherwise plan on purchasing an Xbox One game console. Depending on how adventurous you're feeling, you may need to rearrange your AV cabinet if you've already made room for the console and assumed it would be okay place it vertically. Turns out it's not okay and you could actually damage the console if you don't lay it flat.
G.Skill has quite the collection of world records to boast, the latest being the first quad-channel DDR3 memory kit to race past 4GHz. Intel's Ivy Bridge-E platform has only been on the market a week and G.Skill wasted no time testing the limits of the new silicon, along with its own brand memory kits. This time around it was again a G.Skill TridentX memory kit that achieved the record breaking frequency, which now sits at DDR3-4072MHz.
The gaming category is one of the last frontiers for thin and light form factors in the mobile space, and if iBuyPower's new Battalion MS1771-1 and MS1771-2 are any indication, gamers needn't worry about lugging around big and heavy laptops. Despite wielding 17.3-inch Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) displays, these Battalion systems are billed as "ultra-thin," with iBuyPower claiming they're the thinnest 17-inch gaming laptops around.
Sometime in the near future, AMD will hold a press event to spill the beans on its next generation Radeon graphics card series. In the meantime, we're left to speculate what the Sunnyvale chip designer has up its sleeve, and much of the speculation has pointed to a die shrink to 20nm. As it turns out, however, AMD has no such plans to pursue 20nm GPUs in the immediate future.
Nvidia designs GPUs and launches reference graphics cards around its new silicon, which its hardware partners then take and either customize to their own liking -- beefed up cooling solutions, for example -- or simply replicate and slap their own logo on the box. In a somewhat similar fashion, Nvidia just announced Tegra Note, a full-fledged tablet platform running its Tegra 4 System-on-Chip (SoC).
