B&W remains the king of all Apple-centric audio devices
The iconic Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin hit the market in late 2007 and instantly established the high-water market for iOS speaker docks, both in terms of price and performance. B&W has now bested itself with the all-new Zeppelin Air, which adds wireless audio streaming, a beefier amplifier, better drivers, and more without adding a dime to the price tag.







The FCC has made it known they are about to step up efforts to counter the use of cellular and GPS jamming equipement. The FCC is reminding people in the nicest possible way that these devices are illegal before they start increased enforcement. Some businesses and schools have taken to using these inexpensive devices to cut down on disruptive cell phone use. No more says the FCC.
More and more fliers are joining the mile high Wi-Fi club, which isn't nearly as fun as that other club you can join from 5,280 feet or higher, but at least it won't get you in trouble with security personnel. Aircell's Gogo Inflight Internet service rules the skies, but rather than stand pat, Aircell has big plans for the future, including a next generation version of ATG (Air-to-Ground) known as ATG-4, and Ka-band satellite technology.
At first glance, a new study commissioned by the wireless industry seems reasonable. The study was done by Recon Analytics based on data acquired by Neilson Company. The numbers indicate that only 0.3% of US wireless customers would benefit financially from switching to a higher voice plan, rather than paying occasional overages. Sure, the numbers don't lie, but it’s the final conclusion of the reports that's got us scratching our heads.

If the only thing holding you back from purchasing an iPad 2 this Friday is that you're worried about giving up the unlimited data plan you were lucky enough to sign up for with your first generation iPad through AT&T, then worry no more. Word on the Web is that AT&T is letting you take your unlimited data plan with you.
Verizon Wireless needed a way to entice potential iPhone 4 customers to choose Verizon over AT&T, and offering an unlimited data plan was a heck of a carrot. It's also one that can't be sustained. Verizon CFO Francis Shammo confirmed as much when, speaking at a Morgan Stanley investor conference this week, he revealed plans to close the all-you-can-eat data buffet.
