HTC and Verizon have announced a somewhat unique device today. The long-rumored HTC Rhyme has been announced and Big Red is looking to get the ladies interested in this device. The Rhyme has mid-level hardware, a few included accessories, and a glowing charm. Oh, and it’s purple. Yep, HTC and Verizon have the female demographic totally figured out, right?
A new over-the-air (OTA) update for the 4G LTE version of Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet for Verizon might be just the thing you need to curb your cussing and keep your extra dollars out of the swear jar, but only if you're experiencing high-speed connectivity issues. If you're swearing up a storm for another reason, this update will do nothing to patch your potty mouth.
After months of testing, and a stealth rollout in Chicago last month, the AT&T 4G LTE network is officially going live this Sunday, September 18. The initial 4G footprint is going to be small, just five markets, but it will cover a total of 70 million consumers. AT&T expects to have 15 cities blanketed in 4G by year’s end.
It took a long time for Motorola's much anticipated Droid Bionic smartphone to hit the market, and now that it's finally here, what's left to do but strip it naked and ogle all of its sexy parts? That's exactly what the folks over at iFixIt did, who learned a little bit more about the Droid Bionic in the process.
After several delays and months of anticipation, Verizon has finally gone official with the Motorola Droid Bionic. This is the first smartphone to bring both a dual-core 1GHz processor and 4G LTE support to Verizon's network, which are flanked by several other juicy specs that position the Bionic as Verizon's flagship Android handset.
Verizon today announced
While so-called “three strikes laws” have been passed in several countries to kick those repeatedly accused of copyright infringement off the Internet, Cnet is reporting that some US ISPs are not waiting for the government to impose such a system. Several companies including Comcast, AT&T, and Verizon are reportedly deep in talks with entertainment companies to establish tough punishments for alleged file sharers.
If you're the owner of a shiny new HTC Thunderbolt or LTE modem on Verizon Wireless, you're probably wondering where that extra G went. Big Red has reportedly been experiencing an outage in its nationwide 4G network for most of the day. Users have had no choice but to drop down to 3G connectivity. What is this, 2008?
Everyone knows that sequels are (almost) never as good as the original, but luckily this trend doesn't extend into the world of smartphone hardware. Hoping to drive this point home, Verizon on Tuesday announced the Droid Incredible 2 by HTC will start shipping April 28, 2011, which is tomorrow. It will be available in stores and online for $200 with a new two-year service agreement, but should you look to upgrade?
Looking for an Android phone that isn't like nearly every other one on the market? One that marches to the beat of its own drum? Then perhaps you've been waiting for Casio's new G'zOne Commando for Verizon Wireless. The Android-powered Commando is the latest entry to the rugged wireless category and is aimed in particular at workers who toil in hazardous environments, such as construction sites, warehouses, and factory floors.
