Mini desktop systems take aim at businesses and education
Acer today announced its new Veriton N4630G series of commercial mini desktops for businesses and educational institutions in the U.S. There are two models in the new series -- Veriton N4630G-i54570X and Veriton N4530G-i34150X -- both of which offer security features in a space saving, one-liter chassis. They're also fairly affordable, with the former selling for $649 and the latter going for $549.
A space saving all-in-one with optional touch support
Forget any talk you might of heard about this being the so-called post PC era. To the contrary, Acer this week announced its new Veriton Z4810G Series of all-in-one desktops with 24-inch Full HD 1080 displays with In-Plane Switching (IPS) panels and optional 10-point multi-touch support. The systems start at $749 and are intended for both business and institutional customers looking for an AIO with a relatively small footprint.
Space saving all-in-one (AIO) desktops seem to be all the rage lately, and far be it for Acer to try and fight this trend. Just the opposite, Acer is embracing it with several new and affordable AIO models for both home consumers and business customers. For the home user, Acer trots out the 21.5-inch AZ3 Series and 23-inch AZ5 Series, while business users have a pair of new models of their own to choose from under Acer's Veriton Z Series. Let's break them down.
Business and institution customers have a line of new small form factor commercial desktop PCs to choose from. The new compact PCs come courtesy of Acer, which just announced its Veriton L4610G ultra small form factor (USFF) and Veriton X2110 SFF desktops packed with up to an Intel Core i5 processor and Nvidia GeForce 6150 graphics.
