All-in-One (AIO) PCs are typically more about convenience than raw computing power, but is it possible to have both? MSI is attempting to answer that question with its new Wind Top AE2410, an AIO system built around Intel's Sandy Bridge platform with forward looking features like SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, one of which uses MSI's exclusive Super Charger technology to speed up USB charging time by 40 percent and can recharge devices even when the system is turned off.
Are you in the market for an entry-level notebook built around a second generation Intel Core i processor? If yes, you can now expand your search to include MSI's CX640 and CR640 mainstream notebooks. The two notebooks are now shipping to online retailers in North America, the company announced Monday. There has been a sudden spike in rumors of upcoming Alienware notebooks over the past few days. Evidence confirming the existence of the new notebooks has not only appeared in fairly run-of-the-mill forms like leaked docs and premature hints on the vendor's website, but we have also seen a pre-release review of one of the rumored notebooks – the M14x. But if there was still some doubt about the existence of the all new Alienware M14x, the emergence of the user and factory service manuals for the laptop on Dell's support site should be enough to put them to rest. Hit the jump for specs.

AMD began shipping 40nm C- and E-series Fusion APUs (accelerated processing unit) to vendors back in Novemeber, 2010 and products featuring these integrated chips began entering the market in late January. The Fusion chips currently on the market are only meant for netbooks and low-cost notebooks. That is set to change very soon, though. AMD has begun shipping the more powerful A-series “Llano” chips to vendors, the company said Monday.

It may have taken a little while, but MSI on Wednesday announced that it's GT680R gaming notebook built around Intel's Sandy Bridge architecture is back in action, and this time without any janky SATA ports to worry about. It's the same 15.6-inch notebook as before with the same Intel Core i7 2630QM processor, however it's sporting a revised chipset that doesn't suffer from any known defects, and it also comes with an extended warranty.
Samsung has been nipping at the heels of Apple lately, first with a new lineup of
The first notebooks featuring the latest, Sandy Bridge-based Intel Core processors are already out there. While the Sandy Bridge architecture clearly seems to be restricted to mid- to high-end notebooks at the moment, that might change pretty soon as the Santa Clara chip maker has begun shipping its first Sandy Bridge-based Celeron laptop processor, the dual-core B810, to OEMs.
